FURTHERSOUND HULK

FURTHERSOUND CLAW
BIO
Hulk is a collaboration of the minds of two creative minds sharing a similar enthusiasm for heavy driven bass music, Claw & Richie August. After meeting at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami, they began to send files back and forth to collaborate on projects in Dubstep, Hip Hop and Electro. Since the inception, Hulk has been catching the eyes and ears of artists such as Reid Speed, Reso, Mark Instinct, Ultrablack, TrillBass, High Rankin and DJ Lord of Public Enemy, just to name a few.
Claw emerged in Houston, Texas in 1999, at the age of 15. He was well-received from the start, making contacts with the local rave DJ’s of the time. By the time he was 16, he was playing at some of Houston’s bigger underground parties and weekly events. After graduating high school, he moved to Florida to pursue music as a profession and began playing at weekly events. After finishing his music engineering studies at Fullsail in Orlando, Claw made his way across New York working at numerous studios with various engineers and producers. He then moved to Las Vegas to pursue his record label with TrillBass, which he co-founded. Claw also just did an official Dubstep remix for Wu-Tang that debuted at # 7 on the ITunes Hip Hop chart, and is currently back living in NY to run his art gallery and record label ventures.
Richie August started out mixing Drum & Bass and Hip Hop in the south-side of Chicago in 1998. He began producing his own tracks in 2000, alongside Chicago Hip Hop artist, “Skope The Lyrical MC”. In early 2008, Richie got his first taste of dubstep and It didn’t take him long before he was refining his sound and signing his first EP of tracks to Betamorph Recordings. The Death Proof EP came out and solidified Richie and his unique blend of teeth rattling bass and Hip Hop edge in the Dubstep community. As soon as you hear a new Richie August tune, you know it’s his. Since then, he’s been making dancefloor smashing hits, remixing, collaborating, and is up to over 15 releases on various labels, with no slowing down in sight.
After Claw left TrillBass in October of 2009, he teamed up with Chicago’s Richie August to form the group “HULK”. They have already been touring across the states for months and their first official release dropped on Reid Speeds’ “Play Me Records” as a Beatport exclusive in January of 2010. The release contains the tracks, “See You” and “Angeldust” with official remixes by King from Las Vegas. Hulk has also recently launched their own record label, “BroTown Records” with the help of Symphonic Distribution. This new venture already has the scene begging for the slated releases to drop, with songs by Claw and Richie August along BroTown artists Vaski, Druley, Mark Instinct, Symbl and their own moniker, HULK. Get ready for the biggest bass in the game, Hulk is here to SMASH!

MARK INSTINCT – Calgary, Alberta, Canada

FURTHERSOUND MARK INSTINCT
INSTINCT MYSPACE
BIO-
Mark Instinct was always into the sounds of electronic music, but it wasn’t until his introduction to drum and bass, at the age of seventeen, that he decided it was time to add his own mark on music. With impeccable taste and skill sets, early bookings with Hive, Pendulum, Noisia and Tech Itch started to gain him recognition in bass circles around Western Canada.
At the age of 20 years old, when Mark Instinct started experimenting with music production, he finally found his niche. Beginning with drum and bass, and dabbling in other genres, such as house, it was the grimy stripped down sounds of Dubstep that ultimately caught his attention. Creating dark nasty beats, synonymous with the Western Canadian sound, Mark Instinct soon began to chisel out his own distinctive style imprinted on releases “Sketchy Maxx” and “Fword”.
Attention from record labels Rottun, Dubline and Aufect recordingss lead to the release of “Invader” and “Badman Sound” in 2009, tracks which were soon found on the top-ten playlists of many international DJ’s. Forthcoming “Destroyed” and the storming “15 Karat EP” are slated for release in early-mid 2010. Additionally, tracks released on Betamorph Recordings “The Humunaoid EP” & Aufect Digital’s “Love me Nots” release were featured in the top ten charts of Juno, Chemical Records, & Digital Tunes.
Ascending the steep slope of music with ease, this 23 year old is proving that 2010 will be no different. Appearances alongside Dubstep’s biggest names, a hectic tour schedule which include an appearance at Winter Music Conference “World of Drum and Bass”, remixes and collaborations with Downlink, Symbl, Ale Fillman, and releases on “Play Me”, “TrillBass Recordings”, and DJ SS’ “Formation Records”, it comes as no surprise that Mark Instinct will continue pushing musical boundaries. With tight mixing skills that have been instilled from drum and bass, melody lines of genuine electronic musicality, along with the dirty sub and mid range bass that could only be contained by Dubstep, Mark Instinct is this decade’s artist to watch.
